» Coaching in how to plan, produce and deliver an in-depth, online public affairs project
» Tuition for up to nine credit hours per quarter in your choice of subjects — Flash programming? Creative Writing? What courses would help you advance your career right now?
» One-to-one, expert assistance in software such as Photoshop, Flash, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, GarageBand or SoundSlides
» Use of digital labs, audio and video equipment, digital cameras, computers and more
» Sessions in social media, including strategic Twittering, monitoring and metrics and data visualization
» Opportunities to gain teaching and public speaking experience, plus training in how to deliver powerful presentations
» Private offices in the John Glenn School of Public Affairs in Page Hall, a state-of-the-art building in the heart of the Ohio State campus
» Salary stipend of $20,000 for 24 weeks
» Medical and other benefits, including paid vacation time and retirement contributions
Reporters, editors or photojournalists with at least five years of professional experience at a U.S. news organization. (See application for more details).
During the program you’ll live in Columbus—home to one of the largest universities in the country, as well as the Ohio Statehouse, diverse neighborhoods, a lively music scene, terrific restaurants, national soccer and hockey teams and, of course, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
